The 12V WS2812B LED Strip is an upgraded version of the 5V WS2812B LED strip. The 12V version offers several advantages over its 5V counterpart. For a 5-meter LED strip, even with all the LEDs turned on at full white, the 12V version experiences no voltage drop, eliminating the need to inject power as frequently as the 5V version.
The LED strip is individually addressable, allowing each pixel to have its own color and brightness. Users can control each pixel individually, setting them to any color or animation desired. It offers 256 brightness levels and a 24-bit color display.
Designed with dual-signal wires, the WS2815 LED strip is similar to the 5V WS2813 LED strip. It has one data wire and one backup data wire, enabling signal break-point continuous transmission. If one LED is damaged, the subsequent LEDs can still function.
The LED strip is available in various configurations, including 30 LEDs/meter, 60 LEDs/meter, and 144 LEDs/meter. The power consumption ranges from 9 watts/meter for 30 LEDs/meter to 43.2 watts/meter for 144 LEDs/meter.
The LEDs used in the strip are WS2815 LEDs, which are 5050 SMD RGB LEDs with a built-in improved version of the WS2811 IC. Each LED is individually controlled by the IC.
The LED strip supports a wide range of features, including 256 grayscale levels, 8-bit color depth, and customizable cutting. It is available in both non-waterproof (IP30) and waterproof (IP65 and IP67) versions, with the waterproof variants being coated in silicone.
The LED strip can be programmed using various controllers, such as the K1000C, T1000S, SP105E, SP108E, and SP107E. It is designed with 4-pin JST-SM connectors and separate power/ground wires on both ends for easy setup and power injection.
